Some others are part of the IndieWeb group. @wilkie wrote OStatus. We've had, at times, people from Diaspora and OwnCloud/NextCloud active, and are actively talking to them and people from OStatus land now. It's not divorced.
Also at the beginning I actively tried to get people from Diaspora and GNU Social to join.
