Oh internet functionality and backbone wizards, please answer me this (boosts appreciated):

Is there some sort of way to break functionality for the commercial interwebs, not in the sense of destoying them, but in the sense of building sites on an architecture that breaks central commercial technologies, so as to have a web 1.0 sort of network on existing infrastructure?

Like, basically, using some old junker of a protocol that all the crawlers and adbots and whatnots won't be using?

Or something?

It'd be for developing a human-to-human network of curated content, free from the genAI pollution that will soon make everything a soup of unintelligible grey goo.
