Long before was pushing out 3½mm , had already tried the same with for instance their aka Kaiser. (Whose form factor with slide-out keyboard and tiltable screen I still kinda miss...)
Today I came across my 3-in-1 USB adapter I got for it at the time: plug on one end, and on the other end ports for a 3½mm headphone, mini-USB for power/transfer, and HTC's own headphone jack.

It also shows the plus are housed in a semi-circle shaped plastic casing, with a short mini USB lead coming out the back.
