If you want an excuse to fire people just because they're not the "absolute best" according to YOU, then just do stacked ranking and stop pretending you're anything but a douche
speaking for myself, I've received pretty awesome, *constructive* criticism from my peers, both at MSFT, and at NPM, and it helped me be better.
This whole thing just sounds like you don't want to believe people are actually doing well? what the fuck
