So-called ‘gender-critical’ transphobes trying to co-opt lesbians as if lesbians aren't the community which knows more than any other (besides trans people) about gender being something that is enforced against you… if anyone in our community knows about having complicated feelings about your own gender, it's lesbians.

Lesbians have disavowed the gender binary when today's transphobes were still shitting in diapers. There's probably been people understanding ‘lesbian’ as a gender, or a core part of their gender, longer than there's been TERFs. Dykes and butches disavowing femininity, rejecting ‘woman’ as a construct inseparably tied to heterosexuality… I could go on.
