1. Racism doesn't require intention. You can say or do something unintentionally racist. Your non-white mutuals/friends/partners/cousin-twice-removed cannot save you from that.
@guerrillablack my favourite analogy so far is stepping on somebody’s foot. to react with doubting their pain, doubling down with silly justifications, or thinking that an apology means i’m conceding something i didn’t need to, is completely absurd.
as it should be with racist things done unintentionally. both are harm without intent.
