for comparison, at no point did riot cops ever move to oppose the bundy occupation, and those fuckers had guns. shows their priorities.

despite the mayor's assurances, portland police did assist DHS cops in closing down the area around the camp:

DHS agents report they have not collaborated with county or city police, which implies somebody's hiding info, lying, or the portland cops are acting independently. worrying.

shoutout to the vets putting their bodies on the line at the protest. most of the arrested so far are vets.

the main camp isn't dismantled. discipline is holding. remember when occupy survived police sweep after police sweep? we have tactics for this. the occupation will go on.

there are a couple feds on scene that didn't cover their faces (many did) but are still shying away from cameras. bowing their heads. averting their eyes. fidgeting nervously. ashamed.

take responsibility for your compliance, pigs. there is no Just Following Orders. we must all take responsibility for the machinery we enable, no matter how cruel or vicious or overwhelming.

DHS says they'll maintain an active presence as long as they need to, implying weeks.

i'd say this will strain their coffers, tying up agents from all over the country in one spot, but let's be honest: money is a smokescreen for the logistics of oppression. DHS won't pull out for running their budget. the budget just goes up.
