1. That link should be handy for the next time you bump into anyone claiming that public opinion or democracy got us into this mess.
2. A point to examine: if the public doesn't want what's happening, how is it happening anyway? Is it that people are misinformed about what the candidates support? Voter suppression? Gerrymandering? At what points is this huge amount of error creeping in?
