@ehashman finding the equivalent of dumpelf on a system is how you find the interesting bits when doing an initial poking around

source: copious amounts of "dump -Tv" helped me learn aix systems programming (spoilers: cursed sysv)

Today I remembered how to send HTTP requests with telnet to check if I could pull Prometheus metrics from localhost, then dumped the Prom binary from its container and ran readelf on it

And this is how I learned of the EXEC ELF type and also that Go binaries have like 58k symbols
