Just completed a 2023 project: to "DeChromify" myself.
I wanted to move away from Chrome due to the privacy and security issues I've heard it has. I've chosen #FireFox as my browser of choice, though I was tempted with Brave for a while. I think Firefox is good enough.
What browser are you currently using?

@liztai Firerfox principally on desktop.
#Einkbro on my e-ink tablet, with #Firefox as a fallback.
#Tor on both when privacy is a particular consideration. It's still inconvenient --- somewhat slower, but most annoyingly, VERY frequently blocked by sites, though #InternetArchive and #ArchiveToday both help with that considerably.
That Google in particular blocks virtually all Tor traffic is itself especially telling.
@dredmorbius They don't play fair, these monopolies.
@dredmorbius @liztai That's interesting. One of the fun things has been to see where Google Maps thinks you are when you use the #Tor browser.
I also use #Links2 to get past "soft" news site paywalls. The result is a little ugly but it works.
@leftylabourtech Links2 the browser?
Is that a console-mode browser a'la lynx, w3m, elinks, etc.? I make use of those (especially w3m) as well. Also raw HTML processing tools such as the HTML-XML-utils package: https://www.w3.org/Tools/HTML-XML-utils/ https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/html-xml-utils
