Found the time to read, which I had boosted earlier.

While it takes the situation of FOSS a bit to an extreme and generalises too broadly (majority of my interactions with maintainers and the few users of my stuff have been positive, sometimes very positive personal and enriching), indeed the situation is as dire with a decent majority of bigger FOSS projects for most of the problems, and some problems are even more widespread and grave (e.g. funding).
