ANYway. Hi! I'm Harena Atria, so dubbed by my high school Latin teacher, and this has become my go-to online username just about everywhere.
I have 4 adult children with varying degrees of autism from nonverbal, to "high functioning" to undiagnosed. I live with @woozle (the toot.cat admin, yep!) and my 2 youngest and we all have varying degrees of ADHD.
I learned both knit & crochet around the age of 11 but crochet resonated with me more, so I did that for about 30 years before deciding that I wanted brightly colored socks to wear with my omnipresent Tevas. But at the time, brightly colored socks just didn't exist but brightly colored yarn *did*, so I set out to relearn knitting in an era before youtube had Every Tutorial Video Ever.
Along the way somewhere, I started making my own cold process soap & my own lip balm. Haven't bought either in over 20 years.
I am a cat person but between cats, I relate to ferrets, am basically an 11yo at heart, & as the blurb in my profile says, I'm a flaming tomboy & STILL haven't outgrown it!
