Ended up trying to #paint the aforementioned #northernLights with #waterColours tonight as part of my four frames of technique experiments.
Didn't turn out quite as I'd hoped, but that's probably due to the paper and the small size I was drawing it on; will have to try again at a later point, but then as the main subject on a bigger sheet of aquarel paper.
Nevertheless, I don't think it's bad for a first attempt at repainting these #auroraBorealis from my own photo.

After seeing how it looked on the photos, I ended up trying to blend the edges of the quadrants a bit more together. We'll see tomorrow by daylight whether or not that ended up being an improvement or not. :)
And here it is with the rest of the experiments.
Wet-on-wet wasn't working as well as I'd hoped on this paper, so I'll have to redo those experiments another time.
