I kinda want to this photo of I took back in #2018, but it's too late at night for that right now. Maybe I'll feel inspired to do so tomorrow during the day instead. :)

(had to redraft the post because I noticed I'd described the trees as snow-covered mountains, rather than trees. 🤦‍♂️)

Ended up trying to the aforementioned with tonight as part of my four frames of technique experiments.
Didn't turn out quite as I'd hoped, but that's probably due to the paper and the small size I was drawing it on; will have to try again at a later point, but then as the main subject on a bigger sheet of aquarel paper.

Nevertheless, I don't think it's bad for a first attempt at repainting these from my own photo.

And here it is with the rest of the experiments.
Wet-on-wet wasn't working as well as I'd hoped on this paper, so I'll have to redo those experiments another time.

After seeing how it looked on the photos, I ended up trying to blend the edges of the quadrants a bit more together. We'll see tomorrow by daylight whether or not that ended up being an improvement or not. :)
