This is your regular reminders that most windows do not block UVA or UVB rays, and even in cloudy or overcast days, you can still get sunburned! The sun doesn't stop making damaging rays in the cold!
The best thing you can do is get a nice sun screen to wear daily. You can get a nice moisturizer with spf at most drug stores! I suggest at least spf 30, but I use spf 50 because of genetic risk. And don't forget to repply!
Sunscreen drastically reduces your cancer risk and it helps keep you looking younger!
There's also a lot of #sunscreen brands specifically for people with #acne prone skin, people with #eczema, #psoriasis, #SensitiveSkin, etc! Plenty of non-irritating and non-comedonegenic kinds of #spf!
I suggest mineral sunscreen using zinc oxide! It's got anti-inflammatory properties. It gives a bit of a white cast, but there are a lot of companies making tinted mineral sunscreens so that people of all skin tones can use it!
I use Thinkbaby SPF 50, it's formulated to be hydrating and calming for infant skin, but it works great for people w sensitive skin and acne prone skin, and it goes great underneath make up. Although, I don't use make up. If you do wear make up, a ton of foundations nowadays have spf, so look for those!
Again, sunscreen is super important and I personally believe that everyone should be wearing it every day. Not just saying this cause I have had a few suspicious moles
Skin cancer is preventable! And also, the less sun damage; the less wrinkles.
Also, follow up: when thinking about sunscreen as "anti aging", it's not a cosmetic thing entirely! Premature skin aging is just as bad as premature heart, lung, or brain aging! You skin is the organ that acts as the first line of defense!
Aged skin in more prone to cuts, scratches, and micro tears. All of which are avenues for infections, viruses, and bacteria to enter your body! Aged skin provides less protection from harmful chemicals and pollutants to be absorbed into your body.
Less wrinkles is cool for sure, but so it making sure your skin can do its job and protect you! Wear #sunscreen every day!
